Bi-annual gala to benefit Promise @ San Jac Scholarship
PASADENA, Texas – The San Jacinto College and LyondellBasell Hollywood Nights Gala presented by the Sinor Family will take place on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, & Technology at San Jacinto College.
The black tie affair, hosted by the San Jacinto College Foundation, will celebrate students and their ability to reach for the stars and achieve their educational goals. All proceeds from the event are dedicated to the Promise @ San Jac Scholarship, an opportunity for any high school graduate who lives in the San Jacinto College taxing district to earn a certificate or associate degree debt free.
“We look forward to a glamorous night of celebrating our San Jac stars - our amazing students - while raising money for the Promise @ San Jac Scholarship,” said Dr. Brenda Hellyer, San Jacinto College Chancellor. “We thank LyondellBasell for their title sponsorship and continued support of the important work we are doing to provide a trained and skilled workforce, and sincerely appreciate the Sinor Family and each of our other sponsors for their commitment to the Promise Scholarship and San Jacinto College.”
The Hollywood Nights Gala will feature a cocktail and networking hour beginning at 6 p.m., where guests can interact with students, bid on silent auction items, take part in a gift card punch wall, and enjoy delicious appetizers and drinks. A three-course dinner will be served, followed by the presentation of the Legacy Award, and remarks from Promise Scholars and College leaders.
