Planning for the future is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. When you make a donation to the San Jacinto College Foundation through a charitable contribution in your estate plans, you are leaving a thoughtful and enduring legacy that will impact our students well into the future.
A gift can be a specific amount or a percentage of your estate. It is typically administered through a will or living trust.
Donors may gift a paid policy to the San Jacinto College Foundation. Naming us a beneficiary on an existing policy or as the owner and sole beneficiary of new policy can be a meaningful way to support our work.
By way of an IRA or another approved retirement vehicle, you can direct a gift to the foundation.
Whether securities, mutual funds, charitable gift annuity, or donor advised fund, this can be a strategic way to benefit from growing assets while supporting our work.
Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that your legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.
With a bequest, you are able to designate how you want your gift used. Unrestricted bequests allow us to determine how to use the funds based on the greatest need. You can also designate a specific purpose to impact with your bequest.
If you have named San Jacinto College in your will or trust and would like to further specify the use of your gift, we would like to work with you so we can ensure that your desired impact is honored when the gift comes to the College.
Notifying us of your plans will enable us to plan for the use of your future gift.
